72 Japanese Seasons collects no personal data. Every calculation — the toki, the sekki, today's kō — happens entirely on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
Location
The toki dial is drawn from the real sunrise and sunset at your position, so the app may use your device location to compute them.
If you grant location access, your coordinates are used only on your device to calculate local solar times. Your location is never sent to us or to any server, and it is never stored beyond the calculation. You can use the app without location access — it falls back to a fixed Tokyo reference instead.
Third-party services
The app uses no third-party services that collect data, and contains no analytics or advertising SDKs. Anything handled by the App Store is handled by Apple; we never receive your payment details or any personal information.
Data storage
Any settings stay on your device and are managed by you. Deleting the app removes everything. We hold no copy because we never received one.
Children
72 Japanese Seasons collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date above.
