Frequently asked
What does Link Inspector do?
It breaks any link into its parts, flags the parameters that track you, and lets you copy a clean version. It also unwraps redirect links (Facebook, Google, Outlook SafeLinks and more) to reveal the real destination.
Does it send my links to a server?
No. Inspecting and cleaning a link happens entirely on your device. The only time the app reaches the network is the optional Plus domain check, which connects straight to the domain you're inspecting — never through our servers. See the privacy policy for details.
How do I inspect a link?
Two ways: tap Share in any app (Messages, Mail, Safari…) and choose Link Inspector, or copy a link and paste it into the app's input field.
What is Link Inspector Plus?
A one-time upgrade that follows a link to its true destination and reports plain-language signals about the domain — its age, registrar, DNS, and TLS certificate. It reports what it sees; it never declares a link "safe" or "a scam." Your purchase keeps the app ad-free and independent.
A link stopped working after I cleaned it.
Functional parameters (sign-in tokens, gift links, payment callbacks) are recognised and kept, but no ruleset is perfect. If you can toggle a removed parameter back on and the link works, please email us the example so we can refine the rules.
Which devices are supported?
Link Inspector is an iOS app for iPhone and iPad, available on the App Store.
